Peer Review Process


NJAIH employs single-blind peer review as its standard. Authors may opt into open peer review at submission. Below is the complete workflow:

⦁    Editorial Triage (0-5 days): Screening for scope, quality, completeness
⦁    Reviewer Assignment (5-10 days): 2-3 independent expert reviewers
⦁    Single-Blind Review (10-28 days): Rigor, novelty, ethics, reporting quality
⦁    Editorial Decision (28-35 days): Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject
⦁    Revision window: 30 days (minor), 90 days (major)
⦁    Final production: Accepted manuscripts online within 10 hours

Note on ORCID: NGHC Publications requires that all authors and co-authors have an ORCID (a unique researcher identifier) at the time of publication. Application for an ORCID is free of charge and only takes a few minutes. Please visit ORCID.org to register.
